About the project

About Clickatell

Clickatell, a leading bulk SMS gateway platform provider enabling businesses to send and receive SMS messages through over 1000 mobile networks across more than 220 territories, sought to enhance its content management capabilities to support its rapid growth and evolving needs.

By facilitating seamless communication, Clickatell empowers businesses to connect, interact, and transact with their customers wherever they are.

Challenges before DatoCMS

Clickatell experienced many challenges with their WordPress website. The main challenges included:

  • Slow page load times

  • Security issues plaguing their marketing website

  • Limited content editors from creating new pages fast

How DatoCMS Resolved the Challenges

Clickatell wished for a faster, reliable website that allowed their marketing team to ship out quick marketing messages on their website with confidence.

The solution was to migrate all their existing content to the DatoCMS backend without losing any existing content. The frontend framework of choice was Gatsby, which was the solution leaned on to resolve their marketing site's performance issues.
